historical bed and breakfast needs awesome furniture

A few years ago already, our hubby plus I bought a larger house located in the historical district with the idea of turning it into a bed plus breakfast for both of us to enjoy. The house displayed most of the original hardwood floors, massive doors, banisters plus moldings. The mullioned windows, elaborate chandeliers plus wide porches were still in superb condition! Although both of us new that we needed to make some updates, paint plus clean, our biggest challenge upfront was furnishing the home. Both of us wanted to remain within the history of the residence. Modern furnishings installed in that place would have looked ridiculous. However, when both of us carefully shopped antiques, both of us found that most of the pieces were highly disfigured, expensive plus terribly uncomfortable. Plus, these often bulky furnishings weren’t practical. I ended up contacting a custom furniture shop for additional help. A professional designer walked through the house with me for several hours, taking measurements, listening to our plans plus making wildly helpful recommendations. Together, both of us came up with a set style that would suit the age plus layout of the home for guests. The custom furniture maker built bed frames, tables, chairs, dressers plus even intricate lavatory vanities. Although both of us picked out genuinely rich plus extremely soft fabrics, both of us made sure everything would be able to resist stains, tears plus fading. Because each piece was created for a particular spot in the house, everything is the right size plus blends together seamlessly. I couldn’t be happier with the end result.
