My parents have always had a great relationship.
- They set a great relationship for me when it comes to relationships so I am always looking for a partnership like they have in my life.
However, there has recently been some disagreements in our house about a new purchase my dad made without telling my mom. My dad will do this from time to time and make substantial purchases without talking about it with my mom and I realize that she isn’t happy about it. Well, my dad purchased a brand new camper. His thought was that he could use it for work, although I knew he just got gleeful about the purchase and went for it without telling my mom. My dad was bragging about how great the HVAC method worked in the camper when my mom lost her mind. She started yelling that we needed a new HVAC method for the house and that it was irresponsible to buy a camper before they upgraded the HVAC method in the house! I realize they have been having HVAC concerns in the house for years and have been saving up money to upgrade the entire HVAC system. Well, the money they were saving for the HVAC method is the money that my dad used on the new camper. I can totally understand why my mother would be sad by this purchase and I don’t blame her for getting upset!
