Finding the right place to help others find the right place

I worked so ridiculously hard to get our real estate license and was glad when I got hired by a single of the larger realtor companies, but in that position, things weren’t great. Honestly, I quickly realized that as a single of the newer agents, I definitely would be provided the larger or better jobs. I was dealing with broke people who were interested in houses they couldn’t afford and wasting my precious time. I was selling homes in questionable neighborhoods, continually working long hours and not making any cash. I decided I needed to go off and branch out on our own. Too bad, as a licensed real estate agent, I would need my own space. And I never would have expected that finding a suitable office area to rent in these parts would be the most challenging aspect. I obviously have access to a wide range of listings and know the ins and outs of property leasing and purchasing, so it should be easy, right? I wasn’t overly particular in our requirements. I only hoped to add several more agents and was looking conservatively for adequate square footage to accommodate half a dozen desks, a relaxation room and lavatory. I was not obsessed with the appearance of the building, but I wanted to project professionalism and knowledge. Along with finding adequate parking, our main priority was location. I hoped to have local people driving by and see our sign. It took me over 8 long months to find a suitable office area to rent. But I ended up taking an office on the fourth floor of a larger building and customers for all of the multiple offices here see our listing and get familiar with our name.
