HVAC school

I’ve always been a person who is mechanically minded.

When I took an aptitude test at school, it told me that professions in my expertise would be mechanic, HVAC technician, plumber and carpenter.

Pretty clear, right? Now, don’t get me wrong, I don’t put all of my stock in personality or aptitude tests, but this test just confirmed what I already knew. I knew that I wanted to be an HVAC technician. Ever since I was a teenager and I saw an HVAC technician come and repair our air conditioner and furnace, I knew that was the right career path for me. The HVAC technician was really nice and actually stepped me through what he was doing and how the central air conditioner and furnace worked. Now that I’ve graduated, I’m looking for an HVAC school. I know there’s a community college in my town that offers HVAC courses, but I was wondering if anyone out there has recommendations on the best HVAC schools. I’m really excited to have a career trajectory right out of high school- a lot of my friends going to liberal arts colleges are not as fortunate- so I don’t want to make the wrong choice in where I go to HVAC school. Unfortunately, I don’t really know anyone who works in the industry so I’m sort of shooting in the dark about where to attend HVAC school. Thank goodness for the internet, right? It’s nice to be in an age where I can get feedback from just about anyone on earth! Anyway, thanks in advance for your help! I’m excited to get started.
