My AC System Was Leaking Refrigerant

Apparently, there were holes and cracks in the coils that were holding the refrigerant.

My cooling bill has been unusually high recently! At first, I observed a subtle raise in our cooling bill, but I thought nothing of it… I had assumed it was because our a/c idea needed a month to adjust to the warmer weather conditionss, however, when our cooling bill continued to rise to a price that wasn’t considered normal, I knew something was seriously wrong. I called a heating and air company to come service our a/c, even though I’d just had it ran tests on before Springtime arrived. I had to wait a few afternoons for the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C professional to come to our current home because he was so busy servicing everyone else’s homes, but I was blissful when he finally showed up. I couldn’t sit the idea of paying another high cooling bill, so I turned off our AC idea genuinely until the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C professional could come see me. I also didn’t want to cause any more destruction than necessary. After he was done repairing our AC system, he said it was leaking refrigerant. Apparently, there were holes and cracks in the coils that were holding the refrigerant. He was surprised that I didn’t suppose it was leaking by the sounds it was making, however the holes were smaller, which was creating a hissing sound! Once the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C professional pointed out the sound to me, I finally heard it, however it was subtle. I don’t suppose I would’ve ever heard it on our own. Thankfully, he was able to patch up the holes and the refrigerant stopped leaking.
