Over the years, I’ve consistently felt pretty lucky to entirely like my career.

I simply can’t imagine a life like that. But up until recently, I was beginning to see just what all those people were complaining about. I’ve worked in the same building with the same heating and cooling for 20 years. My work is fairly solitary although I am in with over 72 other colleagues inside our Heating, Ventilation and A/C diagnosed offices. Well, the manager who oversaw this office for the last 3 years just got upgraded. And it was overdue by a few years if you ask me. Morale had hit rock bottom and there were people entirely ready to argument each other over the thermostat setting of all things. Granted, the fact that there was 1 thermostat for such a important area never made any sense. Yet, thing got so fractured that the thermostat setting was such a divisive element in the office. Well, the new manager has started a culture change in this office that was needed well before the last manager took us to the bottom. One of the first things the new manager did was to have the Heating, Ventilation and A/C contractor come out and repair it so the two of us now have zone controlled Heating, Ventilation and A/C. That means there are 7 individually controlled heating and cooling sections now. It seems like a small change but you wouldn’t think the rally in spirits the zone controlled Heating, Ventilation and A/C was for all of us.
