This is a strange thing to admit, but I have no idea how to control my indoor environment right now. About a month ago I moved into this house with my roommates, and apparently I never adequately checked things out. When we were choosing our rooms, it made sense that they took the 2 front bedrooms and the living room. This meant, the thermostat was right in their area and I never really ventured over there to take a good look. We’ve been living together for several weeks now, and everything has been going really great as far as our living set up… Except for one thing. As the outdoor air temperature has rapidly changed with the onset of spring, the indoor air quality has followed suit. Every day, it feels like the indoor air is a little bit warmer and more humid. Throughout the day, you can feel the indoor air quality change as the sun comes out and the outdoor climate rapidly heats up. Inside, it becomes extremely nauseating and uncomfortable. It feels stagnant and the air is oppressively thick with humidity and warmth. At night, this is a massive problem for me. I haven’t been able to sleep well for several weeks due to the unfortunate indoor air quality and air temperature. When I try to investigate the thermostat in the middle of the night for some sweet air conditioning release, I have no idea what I’m doing. The buttons make no sense and it seems like there is no response from the HVAC equipment. I’ve been sweating it out for several weeks, but I think that it’s time for me to talk to my roommates about how the thermostat works.
