Obsessed with saving money and energy

Even if you are from the far north of the far South, every one of us all experience a certain period of the year where the Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C system is running near all the time. Of course, the resulting energy bills can make us choke on our checkbook. For almost all of my family, it is the summertime that just kills the household budget. So much of our funds end up going toward keeping the house cool enough to get through the heat. There is around a three month stretch where I am just afraid of opening the bi-weekly electric bill. It’s so tricky for me to even go to the mailbox to retrieve the mail because I think it’s in there lurking. Even with that being the case, I got sick of that feeling a few years ago as well as decided just being passive as well as taking it wasn’t getting me anywhere. As an entire unit, every one of us decided every one of us wanted to get some of that money back so every one of us could do more stuff. The first thing every one of us did was get my apartment in order, so to speak. The people I was with and I started pulling blinds by about 10am to keep the direct sunlight heating to a bare minimum. My youngest daughter even went out as well as got some solar cling for the worst windows. Then, every one of us decided to take a more proactive approach to the Heating, Ventilation and A/C thermostat. First, every one of us unquestionably programmed it so the temperature would rise with the outside temperature. This greatly lowered the overall load on the Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C. The people I was with and I also decided that every one of us could sit having the thermostat slightly higher when every one of us were in the house, certainly at night. That was the massive one. Most of my efforts resulted in a fifteen percent savings through the worst of the Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C demand. That money was unquestionably appreciated by all of us on our weekends.
