My karate studio is located right next door to an elderly massage therapist
When I set up our karate studio a few years back, it took me multiple months working with an agent to find a suitable area to rent. Along with private and group karate classes, things are complicated because I offer multiple styles of fitness training. I required an adequate area to place a home exercise unit and allow for twenty adults to stretch and workout at once. I needed permission to mount mirrors on the walls and hang heavy punching bags from the ceiling. The area had to include an office, clean lavatory, waiting room and areas that could be utilized for men and kiddos to change and possibly shower. I was looking for a current facility situated in an accessible location with a well-lit and big parking lot. I personally worked through a real estate agent and over the course of 6 month I toured over a dozen odd properties. There were problems with each location that we viewed. Some of them appeared rundown while others were too small. I finally found the ideal office area to rent for my studio. It provides all of the features I need to run a successful karate and fitness center in this city. I moved in, set up our equipment, took sign-ups and started scheduling classes. By the end of the first week, I was already having many difficulties with the neighbors. My karate studio is located right next door to an elderly massage therapist. She doesn’t love the noise caused by our classes. I can see where our grunts and punches would scare our neighbor, although I pay rent just the same as she does.
