Getting the furnace ready for the big dinner

My baby brother was graduating, and we were all happy about it.

  • We had planned a graduation dinner to celebrate his attaining his bachelor’s.

There was talk that some high-ranking people would attend the graduation courtesy of my mother’s side of the family. I owned a heating dealership and was put in charge of ensuring the heating equipment was in its best condition. The first cause of business was heating maintenance to ascertain that the electric heater in the hall where the dinner took place was working optimally. I also had to check on the air conditioner one of my heating technicians reported was okay, but the thermostat needed fine-tuning. The furnace, however, was a different case. Through my experience as an HVAC professional for eight years, it was evident from the noise coming from the heating device that it required heating repair. It took me longer to work on the HVAC installation than usual since some parts needed replacement, and I had to wait for the HVAC company to deliver. By the time all the work was finished, it was evening. I had earlier received a call from my neighbor who wanted to check her fireplace since it did not light, no matter how many times she tried. I suspected that it was a blocked gas pipe. I had to call her to reschedule it for the following morning. There had also been other callers needing heating dealer services, but with those, I had confirmed my availability for the next day. I would also have to delegate most of the work since I had to prepare dinner.
