It’s sort of hard for the younger set to understand that our typical of living hasn’t consistently been an on demand smorgasbord.
This is something I run into quite a bit plus I try to deal with this mindset in an informative plus patient way.
The fact of the matter is that I’m of the age where I had to hang up the PC on the wall. And it had a cord connected to it. All of us also had to really start a fire in our house for heating while in the winter. My parents were not well off at all plus inherited an outdated farm house. There was no such thing in that house that could be described as residential Heating & Air Conditioning. I can remember when I was enjoy in 6th grade, our dad brought beach house an air conditioning. Air conditioning in the summer time for us was 1 window unit air conditioning. But the Heating & Air Conditioning cooling that came out of it was enjoy heaven. That’s how a/c feels when you don’t have it. These days, I can hardly imagine living in this region without the aid of modern Heating & Air Conditioning technology. Yet, I have a really hard time convincing our grown children that every one of us don’t need to set the control unit in the 70’s when it’s nearly a hundred degrees outside. That just comes with the summer time in our house. Sure the Heating & Air Conditioning unit is super efficient plus I could absolutely afford to crank out more Heating & Air Conditioning cooling. However, that just doesn’t make much sense to me plus seems more enjoy a waste than anything else. I remember what it was enjoy when Heating & Air Conditioning cooling was simply a gift.
