Horse gets sick; we get mini split ductless HVAC system for next time

My mom lives on a little horse farm.

She’s had the small property for about 3 years now, and there have always been chaotic events following her daily activities.

If you didn’t know, horses are extremely accident prone. My mom never knows if she’s going to walk out to a normal day or a surprisingly upsetting day when she wakes up in the morning. Will there be an injured horse on the farm? Will the dog run off chasing a wild animal? Will strangers trespass on the property to pet the horses? She never knows. It’s best to be prepared in every way. That’s why, I’m buying her a mini split ductless heating and cooling system for her barn for Christmas this year. I came up with the heating and cooling plan after a particularly cold day outside. The other morning, there was a massive upset when my mom found a horse stuck in his stall, sweating and panicking in the cold winter air. The poor horse couldn’t stand up and he was drenched with perspiration. After hours of struggling in the frigid temperatures, he finally got up. Once he was up on his feet, there was a whole new problem; his cold and wet body in the 0 degree temperatures. Then, we spent hours drying him and freezing our butts off, all the while. The entire ordeal was insanely cold, uncomfortable, and traumatic. Immediately afterwards, I went and purchased a mini split ductless heating and cooling system online. Next time there’s an emergency on the farm, at least we’ll all have available heat and indoor comfort.
