When covid hit, I knew my life was about to change.
- The company I worked for was closed, but they gave us all the ability to work from home.
Everything changed a year ago, including my life being better than it had been for years. The air quality in my work area is not managed well. There was only one thermostat and it is supposed to be controlled by the manager only. Unfortunately, everyone in that office must have thought they were a manager. Every time someone got up, the temperature in the room changed. The workers were changing the thermostat to suit themselves. Now that I am working from home, I have excellent HvAC all the time. I am the only one who has control of the thermostat of my HVAC system. I have a small remote that allows me to change the thermostat settings even without getting up from my desk. I don’t have a ductless HVAC system. I have a smart thermostat which allows me to use my phone as a remote. I’m not interested in ever going back to work unless I am forced to. I don’t want to have to deal with the same shenanigans that I had dealt with previously. I think the workers need to grow up, or the company needs to get a different way of heating and air conditioning the work space. It would be nice if they had some kind of zone control, or a thermostat that is only in the bosses office. It would solve so many issues they have with the HVAC system.
