I recently witnessed and experienced my very first HVAC equipment replacement upgrade.
You see I just moved into a new beach property that I purchased. The central air conditioning and heating equipment that came with the place was old and in its last years… So I wanted to just replace it right away rather than deal with all kinds of HVAC equipment repair bills. Let me tell you that I had no clue in the slightest that the removal of old central HVAC equipment and the upgrade of brand new central HVAC equipment was such a long process! I had thought that the whole process would have taken a few hours at most, but I was totally wrong! It was a full 8 hour task. No wonder they had to start incredibly early in the morning. I have to tell you though that watching them break down and remove the old air handler, put the new one in and transport everything like movers was extremely interesting! I got a pretty good education on heating and cooling upgrades this particular day let me tell you. I almost feel as though I attended a single day of heat and air conditioning certification university. It was that educational for me! Not that I would ever be able to install or remove central HVAC equipment myself, although I do generally understand the basics. I asked numerous questions as they were working as well.
