My brother and I have been close and inseparable ever since I can remember.
We even dressed the same on numerous occasions.
We had this connection that bonded us so deeply that we pretty much had our own language. I’m so thankful for his presence in our life. We are so close that we even began working together in the air conditioner business. One of our uncles on our Mom’s side was an air conditioner repairman before he passed away. He was our number one uncle so the we decided to carry on his legacy by joining the air conditioner industry. He loved his work so much, and the two of us could never understand what could be so exciting about an air conditioner. During our first year in the industry, we visited our first national Heating and Air Conditioning convention. The amount of people that came out for it was pretty impressive. They had some incredible motivational speakers and life coaches that were equating life to air conditioner units. I couldn’t believe how much I learned about air conditioners and furnaces that day. I was mainly shocked at how much I learned about people. Both of us learned that being a professional is all about assessing your client’s needs and putting yourself into their shoes so that you can help them make the best decision for their air conditioner unit. Connecting with people is something our uncle typically loved to do, so we weren’t surprised that he loved the air conditioner unit industry so much. We still remember the way that we felt that day at the convention, and all the enjoyable things the two of us learned to make us into the experts that we are today.
