How often do you switch out your Smartphone? Are you the type to use your phone until the screen is cracked and you can’t read your messages or are you the type to get a new phone every time a new version hits the shelves? Personally, I like switching my phone when I qualify for an upgrade because that upgrade usually doesn’t cost too much money.
Typically, I am able to trade in my old phone and the only thing that will increase is my monthly installments.
Usually, it goes up by about $10 or so, which isn’t terrible considering I am getting a new phone. Of course, this is not the most ideal situation, but it’s the one that works the best for me. While the phone is an easy upgrade, there are many things that can’t be upgraded without costing us thousands of dollars. They include cars, houses, as well as large machines like HVAC units. For instance, my HVAC unit is old, and it needs to be replaced because it will cost between $5,000 and $10,000 for a new unit, I am yet to make the purchase. The old unit isn’t broken, but it is less efficient than before, and it’s causing an increase in my energy bill. I inherited the HVAC unit when I purchased my home, and at the time, the unit was only 7 years old. But now, it’s approaching 15 years old, which is around the time when most HVAC units expire. I don’t know when I will be able to purchase a new HVAC unit, but I know I need to do it sooner than later before it finally breaks down.
