Sometimes my imagination gets me into a whole lot of trouble.
Recently when I was working out in my basement, I was thinking that I could absolutely use some more a/c down in the basement.
I had a look at the air duct plus thought that if I made a large enough hole in the air duct, the cooling air would come flowing out while I was working out. I easily took a hammer to my air duct plus beat it until I was able to tear a sizable hole through it, and when the air conditioning system was running, a lot of cooling air came out at that point, although I also realized that my air duct was disfigured pretty badly thanks to my makeshift Heating & A/C vent. Also when I went to other parts of the household, I abruptly noticed that the other parts of the household were not as cool any longer. It didn’t take long to see a sizable jump in my energy bills plus I knew that it was because of my disfigured air duct. When I called an Heating & A/C contractor to my household to repair the air duct, he was shocked. He asked if I lost my temper or something plus took it out on the air duct. He couldn’t understand why I would split a hole so sizable in my air duct appreciate that when it was completely fine. I explained that I wanted more cooling air in my basement. The Heating & A/C contractor said I could have just upgraded to Heating & A/C zone control or had a ductless mini-split Heating & A/C installed. I felt pretty stupid, so I just asked him to please just finish fixing the air duct.
