I didn’t have a big, modern home growing up, like many of my friends did.
We always bought the generic brand of virtually any type of food, many of my clothes were hand-me-downs, and I had to wait a few months after a new video game came out to buy it used.
I didn’t exactly like it when I was a kid, but I look back and realize that it taught me to be grateful for what I have. I will never forget the time that my college basketball team had an away game at one of the nicest universities in the state. We got our own locker room, which had a big, clean, beautiful bathroom and shower stalls. I don’t remember many details of the game, but I do remember the radiant heated flooring in the locker room. It was my first time experiencing radiant floors, and I didn’t even realize they existed before that game. I was amazed by how comfortable my feet felt. The room was the perfect temperature, but somehow, it felt even better. From that moment on, I knew that if I was to be financially successful, one of the first things that I would get was heated flooring for my bathroom. Heated floors are so luxurious. I bet that even the nicer homes in my neighborhood don’t have radiant floors, but thinking about it, they could actually save money, because heat naturally rises, so it is an efficient way to heat your home. They sound lavish, but they are also quite practical.
