When the temperatures outside are genuinely warm and humid, there is only so much that the a/c can do.
- The a/c works entirely strenuous to maintain proper temperatures.
When it runs all afternoon without a break, problems can occur. We’ve had to endure a lot of warm afternoons while in the last couple of weeks. Today is our 7th afternoon in a row with temperatures over 100°. After you add the humidity, the temperatures are even worse. The a/c in my lake house has been struggling to keep up with the need. I contacted the property owner Last week when I came loft from labor and there was no cold air coming out of the vents. The loft was still pretty cool, so the warm air had not been running entirely long. The supervisor informed me that there were a lot of complaints about the a/cs. She was doing her best to get someone to handle all of the calls however there was only one person working at the time and he was busy. She did not have an ETA for me. I called at 5:30, however the lake house office closes at 8:00. When I had not heard anything by then, I decided to call the office. I got no answer so I left a voice message. The maintenance supervisor called me back about 30 minutes later. He informed me that I was still on the list for repairs, however there were 10 other people ahead of me still and he was not going to be able to get to me until the afternoon.
