With several family members in a single home, it was necessary to get Heating plus Air Conditioning zone control.
For a long amount of time my family and I relied on a single central Heating plus Air Conditioning unit, it was consistently a fight just controlling the control unit.
I wanted AC in the kitchen while I cooked, then my husband demanded heating for when he was in his office. My kids could never agree on a control equipment setting in the playroom. Finally I decided enough is enough, the central Heating and Air Conditioning idea died plus I replaced it with a ductless multi split system. I have 2 outdoor air compressors and two indoor air handlers. Every single room of the beach house has an air handler plus a control unit. That means each room of the beach house can be set to a particular temperature separate from affecting the other a single. I can have cooling while I make some food at the same time our husband has the furnace on in the office. The kids are willing to provide a little bit now. They compromise on living room plus playroom temperatures since they each have a living room with the right amount of Heating and Air Conditioning; Zone control is not only good for keeping the peace, but it is extremely energy efficient. Unused rooms now don’t get any Heating and Air Conditioning. In the Summer our husband doesn’t even want AC. It seems as if the Heating plus Air Conditioning device hardly needs to job anymore, then since the workload is not as rough, there are less repairs plus tune ups required on the system. I have even noticed that separate from HVAC duct anymore, the air quality even feels fresher. Zone control might be the most amazing thing that has happened to us.
