The office is too cold

I miss seeing the sunshine.

In our current office, which is supposedly a much greater and nicer office than I have ever had before, there are no windows, which is a downstep.

Well, there is one window but it just leads out into the main bullpen of horrible cubicles, so it hardly counts as a window. I have constantly been a cold-blooded category of human, and I mean, not in terms of being mean or nasty, but in literally needing to sit in the bright daylight to warm myself up. Those lizards that sit on rocks in the daylight to easily raise their body temperature, that’s me in a nutshell. Now I am dependent on the modern temperature control system of the office, which I share with all of these other people who work here. At least I have our own office, so I can bring in a space furnace and that will hopefully be able to alleviate the problem. As the floor employer, I don’t want to be seen as commanding the HVAC control equipment for our own, admittedly off-beat, body temperature problems. I seriously want all our workers to be comfortable, because that has a large impact on everyone’s job performance ,so I let them control the office control equipment and I try my best to stay in our office as much as possible. With the space furnace on and the door tightly closed, it can get nice and sweltering in there. I was toying with the method of also bringing in my own humidifier, and get our office nice and damp, but decided against it after a while. A humidifier puts so much moisture into the air it would legitimately effect all the paper labor I have on our desk.
