I took our child up north to visit her Grandma.
We had a good time! The two of us loved spending quality time together & exploring a place that we had never been.
The trip was great, but there was a single thing that stuck out to me as annoying. I was concerned about our child not sleeping through the night or getting sick or something but those troubles never arose. Instead, I had a never-ending battle with the temperature controls! At night before I put our child to bed, I set the temperature control to 70 degrees, however when I went to bed myself a few hours later, I left the temperature control where it was. I was comfortable but a few minutes after I fell asleep, I woke up feeling overheated & our daughter’s room monitor told me that it was still just 70 in her room. I turned the fan on high and I tried to go back to sleep, thinking that I was overreacting someow. But then I ended up tossing and turning for a good hour before I went back to the temperature control & saw that it was set to 84 degrees! Thankfully, the outside temperature never rose higher or we would have sweated to death! The annoying temperature control was programmed to not run during the night. No one ever slept in those spare rooms at our Grandma’s house. She said that the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C professional must have programmed it for her because she didn’t guess how to change it, nor what the settings were. So for the whole weekend I was constantly decreasing the temperature on the temperature control.
