They have never cleaned the ductwork in our office before this week.
I know that that sounds terrible, because actually all the people who toil in an office building have their ductwork cleaned on at least a semi-annual basis. I have been laboring in this small office for a long time now and this is the first time that I have ever seen anyone working on the ductwork at all. I mean, once in a good while someone will come in from the commercial heating and A/C corporation and work on the heating and cooling system, but up until this week I have never noticed anyone there working on the ductwork at all. I guess it’s just not something that they have ever thought about before. I am wondering if there is some reason that they decided to have the ductworks cleaned out professionally and if I need to be upset or something. I don’t know if there was an issue with the air conditioner unit or something, or if they found mold or mildew in the ductwork or what. Whatever the reason was, I was surprised when I came into work and saw a whole team of heating and A/C workers who were working up in the ceiling and in the ductwork to clean out dust from the ventilation system. They were messing around up there all afternoon with their special tools as well as their ductwork cleaning equipment. I guess that they got everything cleaned out and I hope that they will disinfect and clean it more often now! I guess that they should stay on top of things now that it’s done.
