From that day, I knew that I would have been the success I wanted to be when my home had heated bathroom floors
Growing up we didn’t have a modernized, big house like most of my friends from school did. I always had to settle for the generic store brands of cereal, most of my clothes were hand me downs and I always had to wait till the new video games were out for a month or two before I could buy a used version. I didn’t really appreciate it back then but as an adult, I do think it taught me how to be humble and grateful for what I have. I’ll never forget the time my high school basketball team had an away game at one of the nicest high schools in the state. We got our own locker room, equipped with its own bathroom and shower stalls. The most shocking part of the game had nothing to do with basketball, it was the heated tile floors in the locker for me. It was my first time experiencing heated floors, I didn’t even know they existed before that day. I couldn’t get over how comfortable my feet felt. Not only was the room the perfect temperature but the floor was so warm, I couldn’t believe it. From that day, I knew that I would have been the success I wanted to be when my home had heated bathroom floors. Heated floors are the epitome of opulence. I doubt the nicer homes in my neighborhood even have heated floors, but thinking about it, I’m sure they save money because heat rises and heating the floor is an indirect way to heat a space. They sound fancy but they are also very practical.
