I don’t savor being cheap if it’s going to create additional concerns for myself and others in the long run. That’s the consequence you face with automobile service. I use full synthetic motor oil plus get it changed every 3,000 miles because I want the engine to survive as long as possible. As much as you need to respect your automobile service, you need to do the same with the appliances in your home. For instance, the filter in your a/c or gas furnace is not an option for the sake of air quality. That filter is essential in keeping dust plus dirt from clogging the inside of an air handler or gas furnace. With a/cs certainally, all of the built up dust can coat the evaporator coil plus will completely negate its cooling capabilities. And if you’re not replacing these filters often enough, it chokes the airflow in the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C system. With a choked air flow, this can lead to damage on fan motors plus other internal components essential to the heating plus cooling system. Unluckyly, our zeal for being smart with Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C filter fluctuations led myself and others to washable filters which are exhausting for harboring mold after repeat cleanings. I’m going to quit using washable air filters plus simply go back to the disposable ones regardless of their price.
