Growing up we had a really nice above ground pool that we would all enjoy during the hot summer months of the year. Having a pool of any kind back in the 80’s and not being wealthy was a rare thing. And my family was just average middle class. It may not have been the inground pools that the uppers had, but this was still great memories thinking back. Another thing we had that not many middle class had in these days was central air conditioning. We ended up being able to get it because my mom had a friend who worked in the heating and cooling business. So they got a huge discount on what it would normally cost. As a matter of fact, the price they paid in the huge discount is about what regular list price is today for a brand new and totally up to date central heating and air conditioning system unit. But anyway, the central air conditioning used to be a great thing to go into after spending all day in the pool and drying off. The central air conditioning system would make us all feel great after being in the hot sun with the luke warm water all day. A nice treat. Then we would all take showers to wash off the pool stuff from our bodies and continue to enjoy the central air conditioning system until it was bedtime. These were the good old days and I miss them very much. There was something about those technological primitive times that are so special and dear to me, and the central air conditioning with the pool is no exception!
