When the weather forecaster told myself and others that Hurricane Ian was going to make landfall right over our house, I didn’t hesitate – I packed up the whole family plus fled north, but i have a sister who lives a few hundred miles away, so the people I was with and I made the decision to go to stay with him until the storm blew over.
I’m ecstatic I made that choice, because there was severe flooding in our area.
If it was just myself and others I might have tried to ride it out, however with our spouse plus kids in jeopardy I had no choice however to leave; When I got back I found the apartment waterlogged however mostly intact… The central Heating plus Air Conditioning method was experiencing some major complications that greatly worried me, however although the method had power plus the internal fans worked, the air conditioner was not generating any cooling. The method seemed to only be nice for air circulation plus not temperature control. The temps outside were in the 90s, plus the humidity was savage, so not having a working air conditioner was troubling. What made it worse was all the dampness plus moisture that had crept into the apartment was turning into mildew plus mold. Without a correct air Heating plus Air Conditioning method the apartment was starting to smell worse by the day! Which brings myself and others to the last, plus most crucial, issue with the A/C. Thanks to the hurricane wiping out so several local homes plus businesses, there were no Heating plus Air Conditioning techs available to help myself and others solve our problem! It will be a few more afternoons before I can get professional help.
