After the windstorm our air conditioning system was broken

When the weather forecaster told myself and others that Hurricane Ian was going to make landfall right over our house, I didn’t hesitate – I packed up the whole family and fled north… I have a sibling who lives a few hundred miles away, so the two of us opted to go to stay with him until the storm blew over.

I’m glad I made that choice, because there was serious flooding in our area.

If it was just myself and others I might have tried to ride it out, but with our husband and kids in jeopardy I had no choice but to leave! When I got back I found the house waterlogged but mostly intact… The central Heating, Ventilation, and A/C plan was experiencing some major troubles that greatly distraught me, then although the plan had power and the internal fans worked, the cooling system was not generating any cooling. The plan seemed to only be wonderful for air circulation and not temperature control. The temps outside were in the 90s, and the humidity was savage, so not having a working cooling system was troubling. What made it worse was all the dampness and moisture that had crept into the house was turning into mildew and mold. Without a regular air Heating, Ventilation, and A/C plan the house was starting to odor worse by the afternoon! Which brings myself and others to the last, and most pressing, issue with the air conditioning system. Thanks to the hurricane wiping out so several local homes and businesses, there were no Heating, Ventilation, and A/C techs available to help myself and others solve our problem! It will be a few more days before I can get professional help.
