I walked into the up-to-date home after a long day at work and realized our a/c wasn’t working officially.
I could hear it running, however there was easily little air coming from the air vent.
I called the Heating and A/C business and told them I had an airflow problem, or at least the lack of airflow. They offered to have someone at the up-to-date home by the end of the day. I remembered our sibling talking about how he had a problem with airflow. The Heating and A/C specialist had told him it was a fan motor not working officially. Once they replaced the fan motor, he had excellent airflow. I also remembered that he had a lack of airflow another time, and it was because of a clogged air filter. My sibling was consistently complaining about airflow, however I knew how to check our air filter, and I was sure I could open the AC equipment to see if the fan was working. When I determined it wasn’t the fan motor or a clogged air filter, I called the Heating and A/C business and told them what I had found. The operator thanked me and said she would pass it along to the Heating and A/C specialist. The first thing he looked at wasn’t the fan or the air filter, however our air duct. He said that if there is an excess of debris in the air duct, it can inhibit airflow. He called the Heating and A/C air duct cleaning crew. I couldn’t remember how long it had been since our partner and I had the air duct cleaned. When I realized the two of us had lived here for almost 10 years and had never had the air duct cleaned, it devastated me.
