The other day I went to my parents house to have some dinner with them and watch a movie.
- I don’t get to see my parents that often, so I was very excited to get to spend some quality time with them after such a long time.
However, as soon as I walked in the door and before I could even ask what was for dinner, my father had me following him up to his office to see if I could fix his air conditioning unit. He claimed that the A/C unit had broken down on him a few days ago despite the fact that he had been taking good care of it. As a certified HVAC repair tech for a living, I tend to hear this from customers on a regular basis. However, many tend to think taking care of an A/C unit only requires changing the air filter and dusting it off once or twice a year. Fortunately I had some tools with me in my truck and I was able to get it up and running before dinner was ready. We still ended up having a great night and we were able to catch up online, but I swear it’s like I can’t step foot within my parents house without having to fix something or take a look with my “expert” eyes. I still love my mom and dad though!
