Buying a humidifier for the winter months

The winter weather is always very dry and cold.

It’s hard for my body to acclimate to the extremely cold temperatures.

I always suffer with some physical symptoms. I often have a runny nose and very chapped lips. My hands, feet, knees, and elbows are always dry and flaking. I bought some special lotion to rub all over my body, but it’s no match for the cold, dry time. I went to the doctor on Tuesday, and I mentioned the cold weather issues. The doctor immediately suggested that I buy a humidifier for the house. I didn’t want to spend a fortune on a large humidifier, but the doctor told me that I would be fine with something small and portable. He gave me a brochure from the medical supply clinic. There were a few humidifiers listed inside of the washer. Most of them were small, portable, and fairly inexpensive. I wasn’t going to make a decision like that without going home to talk to my wife first. We discussed that humidifier for a few days before we finally made a decision. We read a lot of information online, and it seemed like using a humidifier would be a great help. The humidifier adds a lot of moisture to the air and that relieves a lot of my symptoms. I no longer wake up with a bloody nose, and that is one thing that is a huge relief. I’ve had to throw out a dozen pillow cases already this winter because the cold air is horrible for my sinuses. I’m glad we made a change that is helping.
