I woke up Sunday with a runny nose and a headache and I was anxious, and with this Covid-19 virus going around I thought I might be getting sick, however the next afternoon our partner also had a runny nose and our son had a headache.
This was not good. The people I was with and I decided to self quarantine in an abundance of caution. When I developed a cough we all got tested. They all came back negative so we resumed our lives outside of the house, however, the symptoms didn’t go away. The people I was with and I did, however, notice that we felt much better outside of the house! In fact, it was only while in the house that we had any symptoms at all. I knew it must be pollen irritations. I had our rugs professionally cleaned however that didn’t help much. Then I turned our attention to our Heating and A/C system. With the temperature being so cold lately our forced air furnace has been going almost nonstop. The people I was with and I shouldn’t need a new air filter for another month however when I took a look at the air filter I was disgusted. It was filthy! It looked like the air filter hadn’t been changed in over a year. I think for a fact that I changed it 2 months ago. While removing the dirty air filter I also observed that our air duct was easily dusty, but could this be the reason our whole family isn’t feeling well? I assumed it was. I called up an Heating and A/C corporation and am scheduling a air duct cleaning ASAP. I think we will all think better once that is taken care of. I am just ecstatic it is not the Covid-19 virus causing all of this.
