We need to take care of this mold problem before it gets really bad
My spouse thought both of us would save money by renting our own carpet cleaner, but our carpet has needed cleaning for over a year now, and with a cat, numerous kids, and numerous adults, the carpets have become rather dirty, then so both of us rented the carpet cleaner and tested the entire beach house in a weekend. It was a lot of work and both of us were proud of ourselves when both of us were all done, then however, it’s been over a week now and there seems to be a problem, then the beach house aromas really musty and I have noticed a few spots of mold on the wall near the carpeting. These mold spots are in more than 1 room. I fear both of us did not vacuum up enough of the water. When I looked online about what to do about this, it suggested that both of us turn the cooling system on, then apparently the cooling system detachs moisture from the air. It doesn’t matter that it’s 76 degrees outside, both of us cranked that cooling system down to about 55. We also re-rented the carpet cleaner and are going to go back over all of the floors and vacuumed up more water. The other thing that is suggested is that both of us get a dehumidifier for every room of the house. That’s going to set us back a few dollars however I would rather spend the money now rather than later. We need to take care of this mold problem before it gets really bad. Hopefully, between the dehumidifier and the cooling system, we are able to do that. It’s funny, what both of us thought would save us money, is genuinely ending up costing us in the long run.
