Something I noticed over the years is that when the sunshine pours through the windows, the apartment begins to heat up.
- For the most part, I would just crank up the A/C plan a little more, however over the years I have noticed how the A/C plan has been struggling because of that.
My fiance has regularly been accustomed to leaving the windows wide open to let all the sun in. When I looked into strange energy saving tips though, I l acquired that it’s best to keep the shades closed when the sunshine is shining through the windows. The windows then can be opened when the sunshine moves to the other side of the house. When I tried to tell our fiance this energy saving tip, she told myself and others it was nonsense. So I couldn’t win with that energy saving tip, even though I did learn there were other things that could be done. The two of us could install awnings on the windows, grow trees around the house, or the people I was with and I could regularly go for newer windows that did a fine job of blocking the sunshine. I also l acquired a better tip which was to apply film to the windows that had a tint & would either reflect the sunshine heating or block it from coming through. I decided to do this, apply the sunshine protection film on all the windows & what a difference it made! While it would be better if I went for better windows, that film has worked wonders & not having to replace the windows admittedly saves myself and others a lot of currency that I could spend on a new Heating, Ventilation and A/C plan or car.
