I just started my first job working as a certified HVAC tech this week, and to say it has been brutal would be an understatement.
The company that I work for is a small and very well respected company.
This is a good thing for me as this means there are plenty of clients for us to do business with, however this also means that there are extremely capable HVAC techs that I work with on a daily basis and really push me to be the best that I can be. However, in the short week that I have been on the job I can already tell without a doubt that I am a much better HVAC repair tech than before. One of the highlights during this exhausting week was back when one of my mentors, Harry , pulled me to the side after work and let me know that he could see how hard that I was working and was certain that I would be successful in this field of work. Hearing that from such a well known HVAC tech such as him means so much to me I can’t even explain! In a few weeks or even a few months, I think that I won’t even be able to recognize myself and my accomplishments. Eventually all of the pain and steep learning curve will be one hundred percent worth it and I will be able to look back at where I am currently and smile. For the time being however, I need to be able to put my head down and get back to working my rear end off!
