Gaming computer works on top of a/c vent

It doesn’t have time to overheat.

I sold our coworker an seasoned gaming computer of mine because it regularly overheats. It overheated at the worst times too! Like I’m right in the middle of a quest and the dang thing would shut down on me. It was terrible, but of course I told our coworker that it does this. He wanted it anyway. He said he was going to use it for parts… So I wiped it and sold it to him cheap. Two months later I came over to our coworker’s house for a small gathering and I couldn’t help however notice our seasoned gaming computer in his residing room. It was all hooked up to a monitor and looked like it was being used. When I asked him about it he said he has been using it and that it works fine for him. He said he was going to area it out however that he decided to try it first. It has never once crashed on him. This made no sense. How could that be? Then I observed the locationment of the computer tower. He had it right on top of his air conditioning vent, then my coworker is a single of those people who like to keep his air conditioning set to sub-zero un-even temperatures all of the time. I bet that is why the gaming computer is laboring at his house. It is regularly being hit by freezing cold air. It doesn’t have time to overheat. I bet it will in the Winter though. That is, if he ever turns his furnace on. It doesn’t get super cold in this section so maybe he doesn’t use heaters. I don’t know.
