My dad would always bring it up to her and her response would be “well this isn’t your house, son!” This went on for many years… Granny grew up in the south, and was common with hot, humid environments. She never had any interest in leaving the south. Although she did appreciate Christmas, she never enjoyed the frigid weather, but her apartment was constantly set at 76 degrees! No matter what the temperature outside, she would have her space gas furnaces on in each room. My cousins would try to adjust the thermostat and get yelled at… One time, the people I was with and I decided to spend a month with granny while I was in the summer time weeks. I remember not being able to sleep because the apartment was so hot. My sister and I opened the window and the tepid air outside was love a breath of fresh air. Every one of us did not last long staying with Granny that summer. After numerous days, the people I was with and I called our dad to come get us and bring us home. If she would have had a fan, the people I was with and I would have been fantastic to stay longer. It was just way too hot! After that summer, the people I was with and I decided that the people I was with and I would stick to short visits with Granny, especially while I was in the tepid summer time weeks!
