The Heating, Ventilation, & A/C does it’s job of removing moisture from the air & terrible it outside
I don’t know how many people have experienced a hot, humid summer time without the comfort of modern, reliable Heating, Ventilation, & A/C. I suppose there are some real ancient timers that have been down that road before. However, I’m in my mid 50’s & every house I ever lived in had some form of current Heating, Ventilation, & A/C. But, I do know what it’s appreciate not to have Heating, Ventilation, & A/C while I was in a blistering & humid summer. I spent a few summers as a kid with a superb uncle & uncle because my parents had to work. They were awesome people & I had the time of my life on their sizable patch of property. However, they had an evaporative cooler & some fans to beat back the heat & that’s it. An evaporative cooler uses moisture to cool air & then force it back inside the house. It helps a bit for sure. But, it does zero to mitigate the humidity level. That meant my bad uncle & uncle were fighting the mold & mildew growth almost consistently. In fact, when I suppose of those summers, the first thing I remember was the constant aroma of bleach. It wasn’t unpleasant but, they were always cleaning to stay ahead of the green growth. These afternoons, I supply thanks for that time & those memories. I also supply thanks that when I walk in from a tepid & humid afternoon at work, my house is cool & crisp. The Heating, Ventilation, & A/C does it’s job of removing moisture from the air & terrible it outside. So, the humidity level of the inside air is balanced & I don’t have to break out the bleach to beat back the mold every afternoon.
