I get it, some people have different Heating, Ventilation and A/C device preferences than I do! That is perfectly fine with me.
I understand that nobody is the exact same with their preferences, and I respect their ability to have their own opinion.
However, in my opinion, it is better to be on the side of having too much a/c than it is to be on the side of having a little too much heat. Do you know the reason why? Because you can handle cooler temperatures with greater ease than warmer temperatures. What would you do if you walked into a beach household that you knew had a tendency to use the cooling device at a setting that was higher than what you prefer? You would most likely grab a sweatshirt. With a single article of clothing, you are able to overcome the cool air from the cooling device and actually enjoy the remainder of your evening. However, what are you supposed to do when you stroll into a room during the middle of Winter and the furnace is set to 94 degrees. At this point, you would be completely uncomfortable in even a t-shirt, but you are not able to take off enough layers to be perfectly comfortable. Instead, you have to rest there and sweat it out because asking someone to turn down their temperature control could be considered rude. I dislike it when I walk into a household and the heating device is apparently too sizzling. I understand it if you are an older woman and it is necessary for you to keep the temperature warm. But honestly, rather than forcing a majority of people to sweat because of the furnace, you could just bundle up individually and change the temperature control settings.
