Last month after staying out too late, I had to stay the night.
They had to leave early the next morning to go to work, so they told me to make myself at home.
All they asked was that I locked up whenever I decided to leave. I had stayed the night before at a friends house, so this was completely normal for me to do. It was the middle of summer months, so right before we went to bed, I changed the thermostat in their house. They had a much older house than I do, and they did not want to pay to have an HVAC technician install a new HVAC system. The air conditioner helped me sleep well, and our friends were gone when I woke up the next morning. I walked over to the thermostat to turn the air conditioner off when I noticed that there was something wrong. I figured that this couldn’t be good because the thermostat was black. I spent hours trying to figure out what was wrong, but I didn’t have any luck. The HVAC unit was completely broken, and it was all my fault! Now, I am going to have to buy a new air conditioner for my friend. I hope that they aren’t too mad at me for breaking their HVAC system. I don’t want them to think that I can’t be trusted with important things in their home.
