During the winter, pretty much everyone knows that people spend money a little bit extra for their energy bills due to their oil furnaces, regardless of whether or not they have a oil furnace, a boiler, or any other type of oil furnace, they can expect their bills to rise while in the winter.
However, 1 of our friends uses their oil furnace to an extreme that I have never heard of before, plus their utility bill reflects this.
Now, I have always known that this family was a bit different, they have awful character, they are dirty, plus blatantly, they overuse their oil furnace, then when I was invited to their home for the first time while in the winter, I was shocked to discover that their home was 90 degrees. Even in the basement, where people rarely go, they have the heat down their cranked up to a silly temperature. Now, they have an older oil furnace, so they can’t easily keep their home at this temperature with their oil furnace. That is why they have at least 1 space furnace in every room of their house. I was joking about how hot the temperature was in their house, so I asked him how much she spent on her electric bills every month. She told me that it was nearly $600. I almost spit our water out! I couldn’t suppose that they could afford to spend that much on their heat. No wonder they have been struggling with finances. I tried to tell them that they didn’t need to keep their oil furnace that high, however they told me that they were front the south, plus that was the temperature that they were used to.
