There is nothing worse than needing to sit home for days on end because of an injury.
I have been home for three weeks now and I won’t be able to go back to work for another three weeks.
I work for an HvAC company and if I’m not able to get down on my knees and do the work on air conditioners or furnaces, I’m not any good for them. When I broke my leg, I had no option but to stay home. I have excellent insurance so that is a good help. I also have short term disability and AFLAC. It isn’t that I am ruining my bank account, but I am going crazy. The only thing I have to keep me company is the stupid cat and he is the reason I can’t work. I was trying to do some work upstairs and he got right in front of me when I was stepping down. I tripped over him and fell down the steps which resulted in a compound fracture in my femur. I sit around the house with the cat, and watching television all day. I have been getting some phone calls from the HvAC company, asking me questions and getting some information about my customers. I was hoping they would bring me back to work, even if it was just to work in the parts room. I figured I could do inventory on the HVAC parts bins, but the owner thought it was too much of a risk. So, I am now counting down the days until I can go back to work and do my job.
