A couple of months ago, the HVAC company hired two young HVAC technicians that were fresh out of HVAC certification school.

I think that the company is hoping they soon find something to fire us for or that we will just quit. Two days before I had to go to the dentist, I reminded the manager that I was going to be in around noon that day. I was told that I had to bring a note from the dentist to prove that I was there. I felt like a child asking for the note. ABout a month later, I had food poisoning from the Chinese buffet I had been to the night before. I took in the doctor’s excuse for the day, knowing they would ask, but I still got a written warning about absenteeism. On Tuesday, I was a bit aggravated and I accidentally left the keys to the HVAC service van, in the van. I locked the doors not even thinking about it. When I went to get back into the van, I realized the keys were on the seat. I called the locksmith, hoping I could have them open the door without the HVAC company knowing. They told me they had to call the HVAC company to get permission to work on the service vans and there wasn’t anything they could do. I knew I was going to be in big trouble when I got back to the office. The manager called me and told me that I had to return immediately and he had already sent one of the new guys to the air conditioning repair that I had on my schedule.
