I was laboring on our weekend getaway

MY husband wanted to surprise me for our anniversary this weekend and he booked us a hotel room in a hotel that was right on the beach and we had the perfect spot for seeing the lighthouse.

I was already eight months pregnant and he thought it would be a nice way to relax before we had the baby.

The view from the room was amazing and we were only an hour from home. We seldom went anywhere and we hadn’t stayed anywhere overnight, since our honeymoon three years ago. We settled into our hotel room and he had the air conditioning working well. I had been having a lot of heat flashes lately, which my doctor said was normal for the last trimester. We went downstairs to have dinner and we got a table that had the AC vent right over the table. In spite of the AC I was still getting heat flashes and I was cramping quite a bit. I had been having false labor for the last month, so I didn’t think anything about it, especially since the baby wasn’t due for another four weeks. Eventually, the heat flash went away and so did the cramping. I enjoyed our dinner and we went back to the room. Sometime in the middle of the night, I was so hot that I was ready to scream. My husband got up and adjusted the thermostat, but that wasn’t helping. The cramping had returned and I was thinking we should time the pains. I told him that we needed to get an ambulance to the room. The AC wasn’t helping anything now, and my water had just broken.

Quality heating and air
