My brother and I were supposed to get together on Saturday.
It was my only day off work and his birthday was earlier during the week. We decided to spend the day playing mini-golf. Both of us love miniature golf and there are three very nice courses in the city where we live. Each one of the courses offers a different type of challenge. One has a lot of loops and twists, while another has lots of different water hazards. The other course has hills and slides and secret holes. When we were kids, our parents took us to play Miniature Golf every weekend. They passed away when my brother and I were teenagers, but we both still love the sport. On Saturday morning I woke up and I got ready to meet my brother at the miniature golf course. It was way too hot and humid to enjoy a round of golf, so I suggested staying in the house instead. I picked up a brand new video game the week before and it was still in the box. When my brother realized that it was hot outside as well, he thought staying indoors in the air conditioning was a good idea too. The two of us decided to meet at my house, since I had the video games and a much nicer central air conditioner than the one at my brother’s house. We ordered pizzas and had beers and the day was fun and relaxing. It is always nice to see my brother, especially near his birthday. I like hearing about his kids and his wife. His life is different from mine.
