I didn’t genuinely assume what I was getting into when I decided to become a volunteer firefighter.
The firefighter coveralls are protective as well as will keep you from being scorched or burned to death, however they are incredibly hot.
While wearing the firefighter coveralls, all I can assume about is how much I want to get back home to the comfort of our cooling system! Of course, dealing with real life firefighting is really pressing, so I can see how people forget about how they feel warm separate from any access to a great cooling system. I have gone through more than 2 drills with our fellow comrades as well as both of us have had some interesting experiences. It wasn’t until I went to knock out a cabin fire for the first time that I realized how amazing the firefighter coveralls genuinely are. I entirely went in to save a kid from all the smoke as well as flames. It was entirely the best moment of our life because that kid was thankful for his life. I entirely wasn’t thinking about how warm I felt in that moment separate from any laboring air conditioner because somebody’s life was on the line. So while it is true, I love having access to plenty of air conditioner as well as climate control comfort, I do love doing this kind of work. It’s nice to be able to prep yourself for these bad situations so that you can entirely save people’s lives. Who knows, maybe if I keep doing a great job, eventually I can become a real full fledged firefighter. I would be honored if I were able to be recognized as an proper firefighter.
