Judy bought a house at the right time.

Judy had been searching for the best house that whole summer, but nothing fit. It seemed all the best houses were too expensive, and the rest just didn’t have much to offer. So, when the summer selling season ended, she almost gave up buying her perfect house. It’s her realtor who asked Judy not to give up and continue with the search even during the off season. Despite feeling a little hopeless, Judy agreed and she ended up buying a house at the beginning of winter. The owner was relocating and he wanted to be done with the sale before January, so there was a deal to be made. Judy’s house is amazing since it was sympathetically upgraded, but she had to sort out the HVAC system. The previous owner agreed to a better price since the house had an old HVAC system. This left Judy with money to do more work including installing a new cooling and heating system. She also got a better thermostat to work with the new HVAC system. Judy has been using a smart thermostat for 2 years and she has no regrets. She agrees it was challenging to understand how the unit works at the initial stages. This is because Judy doesn’t consider herself tech savvy. But, thanks to a helpful HVAC tech, she got to master a few important ways to use a smart thermostat. Now, she even has a reminder set for when it’s time for HVAC maintenance.
