I bought a house in the country and I just love it. I was pleasantly surprised to find the flooring all in good shape. I just needed to add a fresh coat of paint, change some outlets and lights. I then gave the place a clean top to bottom. I had a bunch of money budgeted for the house, at first I thought I would just get to save it. After living in the house for quite some time I realized there was an issue with the windows. The previous owner must have had a thing for windows. There are a ton of them in the home, all brand new with clear glass. Anywhere you go in the house you can be seen from the outside. While I don’t have neighbors on top of me, I don’t really like being that exposed. Friends and family recommended getting blinds or curtains. I am not a fan of either of those. I like the look of an exposed window. I wanted to be able to see outside, but have nobody see inside. I found that adding a window tint was the best solution for me. Residential window tinting isn’t that much money and more than worth it. You can get a colored tint that matches the exterior of the house if need be. You can also get a sun control window film to save on energy bills. I just choose a slight gray tint that can only be noticed from the outside. Inside the home I still have my great view and privacy.
