Party was freezing cold; I left

I know that I am not a identifiably sociable person, then periodically this gets me into trouble when other humans think that I am freezing & split off from civilization. The truth is, I don’t have a concern with anybody on this planet. However, I enjoy spending time by myself more than I like to be in a crowded room. I know that other humans don’t necessarily understand this impulse to isolate & introspect, but it is a comfortable existence for me. That’s why I was instantly stressed out when my boss said that my fantastic friend and I were having a holiday work gathering. I honestly did not want to have to go to a overheated & freezing environment where the social situation was based on office work every day. I forced myself to attend the work gathering, despite the fact that I was instantly disappointed to find that the environment was more uncomfortable than I ever could have anticipated. This time, it was the indoor air temperature more than the social situation that stressed me out. It felt like the site had absolutely no furnace in order. Every time I felt air blowing through the room from the multitude of overhead air vents, it was like a nice freezing breeze ripping through the lavish gathering. I honestly thought they might have the cooling system on because the indoor air was so cool, dry, & blustery. I kept trying to sizzling myself up despite the lack of heating, despite the fact that I was shivering in my seat the entire time. After an hour of enduring the uncomfortable social atmosphere & the brutally freezing indoor air I eventually snuck out the back door before any of my co-workers noticed.
