Portable cooling systems are not an update from window cooling systems

I remember years ago when I sold my iPad to buy a current PC.

I thought that I was spending money on an update in features & capabilities from a single machine to the next.

Somehow I didn’t get the memo about the limits of mobile devices & their operating systems. For a single, I was moving from Windows to an apple mobile operating system. Moving to any kind of apple operating system would constantly entail a loss of features for me. I use a lot of software that is only accessible through the Windows platform. Sure, the tablet had a fairly giant app store, but I had to compromise with mobile software. Some applications are amazing while others can be unstable, if not outright unUSble. I had a similar episode with my cooling systems in my apartment. My apartment is a single home office apartment with a giant home office & home office. Before I decided to attempt an update with my Heating, Ventilation, & A/C equipment, I had a single window cooling system in my home office & another in the home office near the entrance to the home office. At first I decided to buy a brand current portable cooling system & put it in the home office. My intention was to eventually buy a hour portable cooling system to replace the window machine in my home office. I had read that portable cooling systems had numerous features that window units lack, & I naively assumed that meant portable cooling systems were better machines. They’re seriously inefficient with energy use & they recycle conditioned air to cool their overheated compressors inside the same metal enclosure as their freezing evaporation stage. These components are intended to be separated for a reason—that’s why compressors are put outdoors in all other Heating, Ventilation, & A/C systems.
